Zollarsville Named after Zollars

Old postcard-View of Zollarsville Road near Washington, Pa

Zollarsville Then-More later.

Zollarsville Now- There are remnants of Old Zollarsville if you know where to look. The old Methodist church that was erected by Stephen Ulery in 1842 is now a private residence. The Ulery mill is gone, as is the Ulery school. For the most part, the area is peaceful and quiet. Several old homes have been restored. Occasionally, you'll see a fisherman or kayaker enjoying Ten Mile Creek.

Stone located at Horn Cemetery.

How is Jacob Zollars related to Daniel Zollars? Zollarsville got its name from Daniel Zollars, who built the first house there.

When and if I find out, I'll add it here.

Maybe our future doesn't have to be based upon the past.
