RUSHES, SEDGES, GRASSES
Grasses, rushes, and sedges are found in Marianna. Each belongs to a different plant family. I have a few of the scientific names listed. One difference between all 3 is that grasses have a straight and hollow stems, rush stems are straight and solid, and sedge stems are solid and triangular. This page is not intended to be a comprehensive guide to Pennsylvania rushes, grasses, or sedges. It is merely a place for me to document my findings, so that others may learn from them.
