Eastern Juniper in a Westerwald crock.

Juniperus virginiana, commonly known as eastern redcedar or eastern juniper, is a species of juniper indigenous to the eastern regions of North America.

The fragrance of juniper is splendid. It boasts a woody, cedar aroma that can freshen up a room. The distinct blue cones, sometimes referred to as "berries," serve as an enhancement for a somewhat, dull, yet beautiful, crock.
