It's Sunshine Week!

From March 10th to the 16th, we celebrate transparency in government during what is known as "Sunshine Week".

Sunshine Week stands as an annual nationwide endeavor within the United States, committed to fostering transparency and openness within governmental operations. Throughout the week, diverse activities, dialogues, and advocacy endeavors are convened with the primary goal of fostering government transparency and empowering citizens to actively participate in their governance.

Throughout March, media outlets across the nation underscore the importance of transparency in our government. During this time, we acknowledge the crucial role played by journalists who tirelessly advocate for access to records, shedding light on governmental operations. As we ponder this critical matter, it encourages us to question: How transparent is our local government?
