A Fatal Dispute: Musconey’s Conviction and the Death of Bert Quinn


I did some digging regarding this article from 1912, and what I found is that Harry Musconey, a coal miner and native of Italy, was convicted of second-degree murder on May 21, 1913, for the death of Bert Quinn, also a coal miner and native of Italy, and sentenced to the Western State Penitentiary.

I’m hoping to find additional information on both men to add here. There is also mention that the killing may have been linked to the Black Hand Society. Thus far, I have been unable to find any information on Bert Quinn on Ancestry or elsewhere.
