March 13th-Beth Center School District closes after school day for two weeks while they monitor developments of the health crisis. Students and faculty to return April 6th. Marianna Borough closes to the public.

March 20th-The Pizza Company in Marianna puts out a note on social media that they will not accept or return change/coins and will round the sale price down to the nearest dollar to lessen exposure between staff and customers. West Beth Township building locked out the public, added a temporary drop-off box for payments.
March 24th-UMWA calls for protection for miners from the coronavirus.
March 26th-The "Continuity of Education Plan" is being finalized to cover the education of Beth-center students beyond April 3rd.
March 27th-Washington County Department of Public Safety reports 14 CASES in Washington County for Coronavirus Disease. As of this date at 6:14 p.m there are 1,572 DEATHS in United States from Covid-19. 2,218 CASES in Pennsylvania. Marianna Firehall has a fish fry. Take-outs are the only option instead of dining in- to try and keep with social distancing. Stores like Walmart and Aldi's shelves are again cleared of toilet paper-a difficult product to find since the epidemic began (on Amazon there is a month-long wait for TP). Social distancing still not being entirely practiced by everyone in Marianna.

April 24th-The Pa Department of Health says there are now 37,000 CASES in Pennsylvania. That's an increase of 1, 369 from the day before. 1, 394 DEATHS in Pennsylvania. The state is no longer counting suspected coronavirus deaths any longer. One reason is because in some cases it is impossible to confirm that a suspected death was caused by the virus. Because of the change, the death count in Pa. was reduced on April 23rd, Thursday. Some businesses are opening back up, such as the Country Thrift Market on Route 40 although they have put guidelines in place in hopes to protect shoppers. Other stores like Walmart, Dollar General, and Lowes have applied tape to the floor to show where you they want you to stand when in the check out line-which is 6 feet apart from the next shopper in line. Everyone at this time, workers and shoppers, are wearing masks. Most businesses have signs on their doors that you are not allowed to enter without a mask. Signs are throughout stores reminding you to stay 6 feet apart from other shoppers.
