JANUARY/FEBRUARY-The Archaeological Bulletin, Volumes 4-6 is published by the International Society of Archeologists. In the section titled "The Material Construction of Indian Pottery of Ten Mile Valley, Pennsylvania" by Dr. W. L. Dodd focuses on the findings of Native American pottery discovered in the area. 
JANUARY-13th-Myro Berardinelli is born in West Bethlehem Township to Jerry Berardinelli and Filomena Gentile. Jerry Berardinelli is a meat merchant.
SUMMER-A postcard is published showing the new Marianna dam, and a horse and buggy on what is now State route 2020.
MAY-12th. An article in the "Scranton Truth" newspapers talks about the Couuntry's Major Coal Mine Accidents, which Marianna's mine being named.
SEPTEMBER-A large crowd of people at the Pennsylvania railroad station this morning witnessed a very exciting incident, according to reports. They were given a scare when Eagle Lewis, an Americanized Italian shoe repairing merchant of Marianna was almost run down by the M. & W. train which was pulling into the station on the south bound tracks, one report stated. Lewis was running to catch the Uniontown and Pittsburgh Express which was pulling out of the station on the north bound track and in his endeavor to hop the fast train he ran directly in front of the speeding up bound train.  Several railroaders yelled at him and he pulled back just in time.

November--Mary Ellen Gayman(Shape)dies on 26th at 63.
NOVEMBER-John Menabeck (Manbeck, Menbeck), 22 years of age, is killed in Marianna Mine where he was employed as a snapper.


NOTE-Ten Mile Creek is moved. The Methodist Church in Marianna Borough is completed. Streets are paved in Marianna Borough. Peter Joseph Kearney married Eva M. Wilson, and are the first couple married at Saints Mary and Ann Church in Marianna Borough. Another postcard is published showing the Marianna Mine Yard.
