Marianna named after Mary Ann Feehan Jones

Marianna was named after Mary Ann Feehan Jones. Mary, however, did not live in Marianna.
She was born in Wishaw, Scotland on September 14th, 1972, and at some point immigrated to America and eventually married David George Jones (David George Jones was the secretary/treasurer and general manager of the Pittsburgh Buffalo company). The two lived in Monongahela, Pa. It was David who decided to name the town after his wife. Mary and David had 2 sons James and Francis. Francis had 3 children David, Dona, Macaria. James did not have childrenShe died in Canonsburg, Pa, and is buried at Saint Patrick Cemetery. The three mine shafts Agnes, Rachel, and Blanche, were all named after family members.
