CICADAS
1919-One of the worst years for cicadas.


1999-17 year Brood V cicadas emerge. 
2016- 17 year Brood V cicadas emerge.
2019- Brood VIII made its appearance. Not really affecting Marianna.
Periodical Cicada-Marianna 2016

There are six species of periodical cicadas. 3 of them have a 17-year life cycle and 3 have a 13-year life cycle.


Cicada wings found in Marianna, and placed together, one year after the Cicada outbreak in 2016.
