TOWNSHIP and BOROUGH ROADS

WEST BETHLEHEM TOWNSHIP ROADS

West Bethlehem Township has 22.5 square miles of road, which is 43 miles of road: 32 paved and 11 unpaved. (10 miles of state road are under winter agreement).

The first major road to be constructed in the township ran from William Wallace’s mill to John Heaton’s mill in 1794. It linked Zollarsville with what is now Millsboro and gave the area access to river traffic, according to A Bicentennial History of West Bethlehem Township and Marianna Borough, 1776–1976.
