National Read a Book Day-September 6th

National Read a Book Day is celebrated on September 6th every year.

Who doesn't love to be transported into the past or future, or into a whole new world, or taken on an unexpected adventure? National Read a Book Day encourages us to get lost in a good book. It improves concentration and memory and even lowers stress. Get the kids involved in reading, as well. Even visit our local Marianna Community Public Library. They have a nice collection of books about space, gardening, local history, art, antiques, etc.

“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, said Jojen. The man who never reads lives only one.”
                 ― George R.R. Martin,
A Dance with Dragons

Happy Reading!

Maybe our future doesn't have to be based upon the past.
