Bike Ride from Marianna to Scenery Hill, Pa on Pike Days Weekend

From Marianna on Grable Road, to Route 40 in Scenery Hill, was a nice trip to visit the popular event dubbed Pike Days.

We left the house and rode our bikes down Grable Road.  We crossed over Oak Spring and onto Wherry School Road. The scenery is nice and no traffic this day. There are but a few houses on this road. Once we reached the bottom of Wherry School Road, after crossing a small bridge over Little Daniels Run, we cautiously rode on the Lone Pine Marianna Road a very short distance (which I don't recommend for safety reasons). We reached Dunkard Church Road and from here we pushed our bikes up what is a gravel and steep road.

At the top of Dunkard Church road is Dunkard Church, originally known as Ten Mile Church of the Brethren, built in 1830.

After this we go onto Spring Valley road.  We stayed on this road a few miles until we reached our destination.

Along the way we passed an abandon old house, which is in the area of Scenery Hill. Markings on the home have 1841 as the year the home was built.
