Once Upon a Time

On July 4th, 1892

1892-Note the Zollarsville Brass Band, and Joseph B. Wise, Orator. Wise owned two hundred acres of the original Fischer Tract in Bethlehem Township (now West Bethlehem Township), which he inherited from his father. J. B. Wise was an educated man who served as Justice of the Peace.

Other happenings on July 4th:

1910-A crowd gathered in Marianna Borough for the dedication of the Marianna Amusement Hall. This same day, the Marianna mine superintendent had a photo taken of his home on Beeson street, which has been seen by many in the area, where his porch was decorated with patriotic flags.

Maybe our future doesn't have to be based upon the past.
